Transportation & Lodging

Transportation and lodging are included in the price of the Two-Day Astrophotography in partnership with La Casa del Zorro in the heart of the dark skies of Borrego. Group workshops do not include accommodations but you can receive a discounted room rate at La Casa del Zorro.

Workshops are designed to provide the most effective use of expertise and time in one experience. You will take skills learned and be able to apply them to new creative perspectives in your photography

Learning: We are educators as a profession so teaching through different modalities allows all participates to access aspects of their photography at any level. All workshops include a 30 min virtual meeting to make the most of the field work.

Location: We scout and plan out the best locations for ease of use, perfect timing for star alignments, and unique comploitisions so that you can feel comfortable to spread your astrophotography wings.

Group Size: Workshops are limited to a maximum of 8 participants to ensure that everyone gets the help and attention they need.

Community: We design experiences to not only build photo skills but also build partnerships among other astrophotographers. It is truly a bonding experience to explore nature in the dark and our workshops help people connect under the stars as humans have since the start of humanity.

What are some things I will need?

Weather Considerations

Workshops are planned to be during some of the clearest nights to ensure the best conditions for astrophotography. Weather can be unpredictable and we will conduct workshops sometimes with a small percentage of cloud cover. If the forecast calls for rain we will have to reschedule. Also, because workshops are generally conducted in the summer plan for warm dry weather, even at night.
